Put ABIDE to work.

How-To

  1. Choose Scripture - before reading the Bible, ask God to show you words on which He would have you meditate and then memorize. When something you are reading convicts you or excites you or draws you to love the Lord more, jot that Scripture on a sheet that you keep in your Abide binder’s front pocket. This will be your running “to-be-memorized” list.

  2. Notecard - Write or print out and glue your verse/verses on a clean notecard with the Scripture reference and date started. Place the notecard behind the “Daily” divider. Add the reference to the next blank line on the divider. Say the first verse on the notecard ten times the first day and then try to say it without looking at the notecard. Check the first box. *I try to add one new verse every week.*

  3. Repetition - Meditate on your daily verse. Ask the Lord to show you how you are doing with that particular verse in your own life and where you might be falling short. Repeat the verse. Check the second box. (Repeat this until all the “Daily” boxes are all checked.)

  4. Notecard Movement - After all “Daily” boxes are checked, move notecard to “Weekly” divider. Also move the “Weekly” verses to “Monthly” after all boxes have been checked. Add the reference to the next line on the divider. Say the verse on the notecard without looking at the words. Check the box. (Repeat this until all the “Weekly” and then “Monthly” boxes are checked.)

  5. Continued Review - Abide Scripture Memory System has built-in review for all verses that you have learned so that, with a little time every day, you will be able to continually sharpen and polish your Sword, keeping it at the ready to do battle.
